- They ask for your password. Real support never asks you to send your password or 2FA code — ever.
- They arrive in DMs or email from a personal or slightly-off domain. Official Meta emails come from facebook.com, instagram.com, or meta.com only.
- They rush you with fake "your account will be deleted in 24h" threats.
- They ask for payment to "unlock" your account. No legitimate platform charges you to recover your own account.
